Who We Are and What We Do

When organizational activities are complete, the Themelios Institute will be a non-profit tax-exempt educational corporation. As of Tuesday September 30, 2008, incorporation activities were not yet complete. Accordingly, the Institute remains in startup mode and recognition of tax-exempt status from the U.S. Internal Revenue Service has not yet been sought. The Themelios Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust (Themelios CRAT) was formed pursuant to and compliant with IRS statutes in effect at the time of its formation, is presently functional, and acts as fiduciary agent as majority owner of interest in SWANsat Holdings, LLC, licensee of the SWANsat system.

Our Structure, Mission, and Mandate

The Themelios CRAT intends to release corpus and income from profit participation in the SWANsat system in order to endow the Themelios Institute, the Themelios CRAT's remainder beneficiary. The Themelios CRAT will fund the SWANsat Foundation Group and its charitable missions on an international scale.

Our Name

The Themelios Institute and the Themelios Charitable Remainder Annuity Trust are both named after the ancient Greek word

qhmelioV

which means "foundation," the framework upon which a building is constructed.
